The accommodation is in the center of the town. Also, I visited a Romanesque Roman Catholic cathedral, it's a 10-15 minute walking distance from the hotel.

The rooms at Hotel Fonix are amazing! They have air conditioning which is perfect for the hot weather in Pecs. The free WiFi is also a great feature, helping me stay connected throughout my stay. The private bathrooms in each room are clean and convenient. I loved relaxing on the balcony in our triple room, it gave us a great view of the city. The cable TV in the room was a nice touch, allowing us to unwind after a long day of exploring.
Personally, I found that the TV channels in the room were not to my liking. But hey, everyone has different preferences, so others might still enjoy it!

(a) The location was very close to the main square.(b) Upon departure the hotel clerk kindly carried my suitcase 40 meters through the construction project (below) to the taxi.
(a) No elevator. (b) There was a major street renovation project taking place in front of the hotel when I was there. The taxi could not get closer than 40 meters to the hotel. Bricks, stones, sand, and construction workers were everywhere, with loud machinery. When I pointed out to the clerk that if I had known about this noisy project I would not have booked this hotel, she kindly found a quiet room (#14) in the top back of the hotel for me, and I was satisfied. The next day, however, I was surprised to be charged "extra" for this room. The charge was fair, given the unusual street situation, but I think the hotel should tell the client of the extra charge before the client takes the room and not after.

I recently stayed at Hotel Fonix in Pecs for 2 nights while exploring the city. The hotel is ideally located just off the main square, making it convenient for sightseeing. The room was cozy and had a unique charm with its slanted roof, giving it an old town atmosphere. The breakfast provided was very good, with a nice selection of fresh and hot dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive experience. I especially appreciated the young lady at the reception, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
